Essex Library to Host Summer Reading Club Kickoff Party

The program will kick off with a party on May 31 before the club officially gets started on June 20 with the theme "One World, Many Stories."

This year the Baltimore County Public Library will kick off its Summer Reading Club with a program on Tuesday, May 31. The theme for this year is "One World, Many Stories."

The Essex Library will be celebrating the reading club with a special kickoff that day as well. The party will feature the Stemmers Run Middle School Jazz band, and volunteers will be on hand helping to sign children up for this fun reading event. Adults can sign up too, for the program which formally begins on June 20.

Staff say there is a rumor that Sneaks, the Baltimore County Public Library mascot, may be stopping by for a visit. Sign up for some interesting activities while improving reading skills and world awareness.
