KELLY TINGLER, Neighbor

I&#39;m a local girl, born in 1967 at Baltimore City Hospital and by 1969, my family had settled into the Glen L. Martin wartime housing community of <strong>Aero Acres.  </strong>I also had family in Victory Villa, Back River,  BirdRiver, Bowleys Qtrs., Parkville, Essex, Dundalk and Wilson Point. 

In 1984 my parents moved the family to Atlanta, GA where I lived for the next 18 years. During that time I had married, had a child (now 22) and went to college, but divorced in 2001.   During a trip home I met a local boy from Hawthorne.  That meeting precipitated my move back to Baltimore in late 2002 and in 2003, we were married .  As luck would have it, he owned a house in Aero Acres!  What a strange feeling to relive my childhood memories every single day I travel through my neighborhood.

Current

From 2007 - 2011, I served as Treasurer of the Aero Acres Civic Improvement Association and in 2010 I became the Secretary of the Essex-Middle River Civic Council.  I have participated in Back River Restoration Committee cleanups and the Aero Acres Adopt-A-Road cleanups. I am a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dundalk, MD as an Independent Fundamental Baptist.
