A Chase Elementary parent sent us this photo of what they've done with the school's sign. What have you done to decorate for the game?
The Essex area is quickly getting into the holiday spirit, the holiday being what the Baltimore Ravens once called Festivus Maximus. There's no pole, no airing of grievances, but there will be plenty of feats of strength on the field when the Ravens meet the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans for the Super Bowl. Vivian Kerner, secretary of the Chase Elementary School PTA, posted this photo on our Facebook page. How is your home, school or business decorating for the game? Despite playing in New England, fans came in big numbers to watch Ravens earn the franchise's second Super Bowl trip. The head coach and players noticed.
John Harbaugh smiled plenty throughout Monday's news conference. Considering his team is headed to the Super Bowl a week from Sunday, that's no surprise. But the Ravens coach really beamed when the conversation turned to Baltimore's fans. Harbaugh and his team were both delighted at the large number of Baltimore fans that went up to New England and watched the Ravens beat the Patriots, 28-13, in last Sunday's AFC title game. "We might have had one-eighth of the crowd, which is really a high number for a visiting AFC Championship game. That speaks so much about our fans," Harbaugh said when talking to the media Monday in Owings Mills. "For all of those people to make that trip up there at this time of year to support their Ravens is just—…
