The Wilson Point restaurant was chosen as having the Best Mother's Day Brunch in the Essex-Middle River area.
For those seeking a quality meal with reasonable prices and a great atmosphere, Carson's Creekside is the Readers' Choice for a Mother's Day brunch The brunch at Carson's Creekside, located along the waterfront at 1110 Beech Drive, starts at 9 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m. and reservations are suggested. The cost is $20 for adults, $10 for kids 5-10 and kids under 5 are free. An omelet station (including crab), seafood bar, carving station, waffles, french toast, fruits and pastries are just some of the items expected to be at the buffet. The local rock/country band, who continues to grow its fan base in the Essex-Middle River area, will be playing Saturday at the American Legion Post 148.
Chances are if there is a bar or restaurant that hosts live music in the Essex-Middle River area, Bill Romano has played there. Romano has played rhythm guitar and provided vocals for the local band “Strait Shooter” since the group was formed in 1981. While he is the lone original band member, Romano believes Strait Shooter is as popular as ever. Follow Essex-Middle River Patch on Facebook and Twitter. The band performs around 65 dates a year, Romano said, playing throughout Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. More than 40 restaurants in county signed up to offer lunch and dinner bargains.
Baltimore County Restaurant Week is its own two-for-one special. The "week" actually runs from this Friday through Jan. 28, offering specials on lunches and dinners at 41 restaurants in the county priced from $10.11 to $35.11. The special menus are available on the county's website. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz will kick off the promotion on Thursday with an 11 a.m. appearance at the Milton Inn in Sparks. In October, Baltimore County sent more than 500 letters to area restaurateurs and expected 50 of the county's 1,200 restaurants to jump in.
