Soccer: CCBC Essex Coach Leaves for Calvert Hall

Rich Zinkand compiled a 97-47-11 record as the Knights men's soccer coach before stepping down to take over at Calvert Hall, where he is a member of the English staff.

Rich Zinkand has stepped down as the CCBC Essex men’s soccer coach to take over the same job at Calvert Hall. For Zinkand, the move allows him to expand his role at Calvert Hall, a Catholic high school in Towson, where he is a member of the English department and where he graduated in 1987. He takes over the soccer program for the retiring Andy Moore. “The move allows Rich to continue to teach the game of soccer while spend more time with his family since he will be on one campus for both work and coaching,” CCBC Essex athletic director Marc Ershler said. Zinkand compiled a 97-47-11 record at CCBC Essex, which included four consecutive Region XX championships (2007 - 2010) and two NJCAA Division I men’s soccer national tournament …
