Ravens No Longer Content with Consistency

After four straight years of making the playoffs, Ravens fans and players are expecting to beat the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game and advance to Super Bowl XLVI.

  Nicole Massoni didn’t mince words when asked what she expects the Ravens to accomplish this season. “This is our year and I think we are going all the way,” Massoni said. Massoni, a member of the Middle River-based Ravens Nest 8, is expressing a view similar to hundreds of Ravens fans across the region in the days following the NFL team’s 20-13 victory over the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional round. The Ravens will play the New England Patriots at 3 p.m. Sunday in Foxboro, Mass., in the AFC Championship game with the winner going on to Super Bowl XLVI on Feb. 5. No Place Like Home for the Ravens

The Ravens take their 8-0 home record this season into Sunday's AFC Divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans at M&T Bank Stadium.

  Samara Sisserman said when you watch a Ravens game in person, it’s not just a game; it is an experience. From all of the pregame activities and tailgating outside the stadium, to the emotional salute to the troops with the playing of “Proud to be an American,” to Ray Lewis’ electric pregame introduction, Sisserman said the fans are already feeling electric before kickoff. “There is just no place more exciting to watch an NFL game than M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore,” said Sisserman, who along with her husband, Justin, have been season-ticket holders since 2004. “The stadium never stops rocking from the opening kickoff to when the final whistle blows.” Sisserman, whose family operates Maryland Beauty Academy, believes that electric …

The Ravens are gearing up for their first home playoff game in five years on Sunday when they host the Houston Texans in Sunday's AFC Divisional playoff game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. On Wednesday, Ravens players and coaches addressed the media and delved into several topics, ranging from the growth of QB Joe Flacco to the play of the Texans to whether it is Super Bowl or bust this season. There were also some light-hearted moments discussing the Fu Manchu craze started by Flacco.
