Baltimore County Police have charged an Annapolis man with murder in the death of Owings Mills resident Katie Hadel. Jeffrey Michael Shiflett, 33, of the 1700 block of Saint Margarets Road in Annapolis, is charged with one count of first-degree murder, according to a Baltimore County Police press release. He was arrested without incident Wednesday morning shortly after 11 a.m. when an officer spotted him walking on the street in the Reisterstown area, police said. He is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Baltimore County police arrested two men last week in the Sept. 30, 2009, stabbing death of Rodney Lewis in his Randallstown home. On Jan. 2, police arrested Eric Isaiah Johnson, according to a news release. Then, on Jan. 3, police arrested Leonard Briscoe. Both have been charged with first-degree murder. At about 4 p.m. Sept. 30, 2009, officers went to the Lewis' residence in the 9500 block of Liberty Road. During their investigation, police found out that Johnson was staying with Lewis and Lewis' wife. The 16-year-old boy told police he was attacked walking home Monday night along Middle River Road.
A 16-year-old boy was listed in stable condition at an area hospital after being stabbed Monday night in Middle River, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman said. County police spokeswoman Cathy Batton said the teen told investigators that he had just left the Royal Farms store, located on the 1300 block of Windlass Drive, and was walking home. He said he was walking along Middle River Road toward Compass Road when a man appeared, stabbed him and then ran off, Batton said. The boy then ran toward a friend for help, who called 911, Batton said.

A 28-year-old man was stabbed during an attempted armed robbery early Sunday morning in Essex. According to police reports, the victim bought a pack of cigarettes around 1:50 a.m. from the Gulf gas station, located at the corner of Eastern Blvd. and Stemmers Run Road. Baltimore County police are working with the owners of a White Marsh nightclub following two stabbings at the business within the last two months. Sunset Beach Bar & Grille, located on the 11400 block of Pulaski Highway, was fined $2,000 by the Baltimore County Liquor Board and could have its liquor license suspended indefinitely after Feb. 8, if it does not have a security plan approved by Baltimore County police. The punishment, handed down by the liquor board on Jan. 9, was in connection to the first stabbing on Nov. 20. Police said injuries were not life threatening for two people injured during an incident at a White Marsh night club New Year's Day.
It was a violent start to the year at Sunset Beach Bar & Grill in White Marsh, when one person was stabbed and another hit by a car outside the night club during the early hours of Sunday morning. Around 2:02 a.m., one person was stabbed at the club in the 11400 block of Pulaski Highway, according to Sgt. Bruce Aris with Baltimore County Police. Another person was hit by a car, and Aris said the two events appear to be related. Both people sustained injuries, but those injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to Aris. A Parkville man was arrested following what police said was a night club brawl that left three people stabbed.
A man was arrested early Sunday morning following a triple stabbing at a White Marsh night club, Baltimore County police announced. Follow Perry Hall Patch on Facebook and Twitter. Update (12:43 p.m.) A Dundalk man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault following two stabbings at the Seahorse Inn Saturday night, according to Baltimore County police. Adam Wayne Church, 21, of the 2800 block of Yorkway, Dundalk, is currently being held at the Baltimore County Dentention on $1,000,000 bail. A trail date has been set for November 10. Initially, police said that three people had been stabbed at the Seahorse Inn Saturday night, but preliminary reports regarding a third victim were incorrrect. Baltimore County police are investigating a stabbing of a man early Friday morning in Essex. Police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton said a woman called officers at 4:10 a.m. to the 1400 block of Hadwick Drive. Batton said the woman told police the victim was her boyfriend's brother. The victim, who was bleeding, was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other details, including potential suspects, were available, Batton said.
