Police said they are investigating the early Sunday shooting.
A man died Sunday morning after he was reportedly shot at a Rosedale gas station, according to police. Baltimore County police responded to a Shell station in the 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue at 4:28 a.m., according to a news release. There, police said officers found a man in front of the gas station who had been shot at least once. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The police department's homicide unit is investigating the incident, according to the release. The man's name has not yet been released. Philadelphia Road was closed so firefighters could battle the blaze.
(UPDATE) 3:10 p.m.— A three alarm blaze that apparently started in the Jacky Chen carry out damaged five other stores in the Rosedale Village shopping center. Baltimore County firefighters responded to a call for a fire at 12:42 p.m. Saturday at 8426 Philadelphia Road and called for additional help, according to a news release. While battling the blaze, it spread to five additional stores. Firefighters are still at the scene and investigating what started the fire. A Parkville man faces robbery, theft and assault charges after the Thursday evening incident.
A Parkville man is charged with theft, robbery and assault after police say he forced his ex-fiancée's car off the road last week in Rosedale, then attempted to steal her wallet, phone and a bag. Tyler Warren Kinch, 24, of the 8700 block of Cimarron Circle, was charged with robbery, second-degree assault, theft and malicious destruction of property. He was released Friday on $20,000 bail, according to online court records. No information on a court date was available. The incident happened at 11:45 p.m., Jan. 10, near the intersection of Shirley and Rosedale avenues, according to a Baltimore County police report. Branda Joy Schultz, 71, was last seen at 10:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of Leiden Road. Maryland State Police have activated a Silver Alert, county police said. Schultz is described as a white female, 5'6" and 145 pounds, with gray hair and glasses. She may be driving a gold 2007 Jeep Patriot with the Maryland tag MWR0065. Police ask anyone with information on Schultz's whereabouts to call 410-307-2020.

A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the Sunday shooting.
Baltimore County police are investigating a non-fatal weekend shooting in Rosedale. Police responded to the 6300 block of King Arthur Circle at 9:09 p.m. Sunday, spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton said. Police found a man in the foyer of his townhouse who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim told police he was accosted by two men when he was shot. Batton said there was no information to indicate whether the incident was related to a robbery or other crime. She said the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and that his injuries were not life-threatening. Police continue to invesigate the shooting, she said.

The 10-year-old building officially becomes a Super Walmart and will now be open 24 hours.
Nearly 10 years after first opening, the Walmart in Rosedale officially reopened on Wednesday. The store, located at 6420 Petrie Way, hosted a grand reopening ceremony to mark the completion of its transformation into a Super Walmart. The remodeled and expanded store will now be open 24 hours and has a full line of groceries, including a bakery, a deli, meat and dairy products section and fresh produce. "This [reopening] doesn't represent the end, but just the continuation of a journey that began almost 10 years ago to the day at this store," store manager Scott Bonsall said. Scott Bonsall admits the last six months have not been easy for him. The manager of the Walmart in Rosedale said customers have been extremely patient as his store, located at 6420 Petrie Way, has been a large construction site while the retail chain has undertaken an extensive remodeling project of the 10-year-old building. During that time, portions of the store were torn apart with tarps covering many sections. Parking was also at a premium, with large sections of the lot closed off during the renovations. But Bonsall said dealing with all of those problems would be worth it come 7:30 a.m. Wednesday when the refurbished and redesigned Walmart hosts its grand reopening. Jillian Goles, 20, of Rosedale, will be this year's commencement speaker and the 2012 President’s Distinguished Graduate Award recipient.
Jillian Goles admits she was more concerned in high school about sports and being popular rather than concentrating on her academics. Goles said by the time she got her academic act together at Eastern Technical High School, it was too late for her to go to any of the colleges of her choosing. Left with few post-high school options, Goles decided to go to CCBC Essex. Two years later, Goles said that decision was the best one she has made in her life. A Middle River man on Wednesday became the 11th Baltimore City police officer sentenced in an illegal towing scheme involving a Rosedale auto shop. Rodney Cintron, 32, of Middle River, was sentenced to to 42 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release on charges of conspiracy to commit and committing extortion, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland. The owners of Majestic Auto Repair paid Cintron and other Baltimore City police officers to arrange for their company—rather than a city-authorized business—to tow vehicles from accident scenes and make repairs, according to a news release.
