Police Investigating Essex Man's Middle River Shooting
The shooting occurred early in the morning of March 1.
Police detectives continue to investigate a shooting that occurred early this morning near the Victory Villa neighborhood of Middle River. Joseph Thorpe, 27, of the unit block of Glenwood Road in Essex was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in critical condition following the shooting, according to a news release from the Baltimore County Police Department. Police and EMS responded to the area of Middle River and Compass Roads around 12:03 a.m. Mar. 1 and found Thorpe lying in the road with a gunshot wound to the back of his head in addition to other traumatic injuries, the release states.
