Murder Suspect Nabbed Last Year While Hiding in Middle River Attic Could Face Death Penalty in Pa.

Kevin "Yummy" Mattison of Baltimore had eluded capture for two months after police said he fatally shot a man in December 2008 in a York, Pa., drug robbery. Police finally caught him in the third-floor attic of a Middle River house.

 A Baltimore man found hiding in the attic of a Middle River house last year—after more than two months as a fugitive wanted in a York, Pa., slaying—faces a possible death penalty in Pennsylvania. Prosecutors allege Kevin E. Mattison, 34, broke into Christian Agosto's York, Pa., home and shot him in the head Dec. 9, 2008, after stealing from him a pound of marijuana, the York Dispatch  reports.  Mattison is charged with first-degree murder, robbery and related offenses.  Prosecutor Tim Barker said jury selection, which began Monday, is expected to be completed by Thursday, the York Daily Record reported. Well, at least he came to the safest, according to the BC Police Chief, place to hide. It was so safe it lulled him to sleep and he dropped his guard and now he may just drop, dead that is.   more ›
