Taxing people into the poor house does not work either. O'Malley you are a Moron.

Of course as currently applied, the death penalty is not a deterrent. A kid that is about to killRead More someone is thinking, I may not get caught, I may not be convicted, I probably won't be sentenced to death, if sentenced to death, my appeals won't run out until I'm forty and that is already longer than I expect to live anyway. So I agree that as of now the death penalty is not a deterrent, but I disagree with the statement that it does not work. When applied, it definitely succeeds in eliminating a very nasty problem.

Vinnie B., why are you getting upset with the criticism which is being launched against this orRead More these parents, and rightfully so. Kids are a 24/7 job and they need to be(not should be) under surveillance every second of the day (especially in this day and age). Now if one can't seem to do that and if one cant conform to that, then one does not need children!!!So having said that Vinnie B,. your getting upset over criticism toward these parents is a small price to pay compared to the evil that could have happened to this child by getting hit by a car or by getting picked up by a pedophile or any of the other numerous bad things that could have happened to the child.

How can you "detonate" something that doesn't contain explosives? Was this just a case ofRead More "Panic at the disco"?

Heywood, The Bomb Squad uses an external explosive device to try and detonate whatever is in theRead More bag.

strange how we respond just as the terrorists desire us to. the media commemorates each incident asRead More if it were a new profit center to mine for every last click. whole populations now sit in fear of another 'something' about to happen, never again, fully safe like we were in the good old days of the cold war? once these bstrds hit us deep inside our own turf we have not become stronger, but rather 'hardened', emboldened in our delusions of ultimate superiority, no longer safe on our 'island of north america'. each of these events changes us all even imperceptably, forcing us to accept their motives, their ideals, their imam imposed concept of living. we act in unison, determined to show them we are not affected, yet that very demonstration reveals our inner need to respond, to re-affirm our own injury, each of those crowd-felt sympathies we all cling to, even if for the brief moment of our 'crowd'. be strong, and further, be alert, be conspicuous in manner in which you care for each other. shy not away from those who seek your death, but do not embrace them, as they fein no challenge to seek close to your demise.

We wanted the traditional wedding march 'Here Comes the Bride', but the Catholic church forbade itRead More and said it was pagan. I don't even remember what tune was played.

Hey Brett, I'd rather you stick it up @kolo jezdec rear end. She seems to think her opinion, andRead More ONLY her opinion, is the only one that is the right one. ATTENTION ALL PATCH READERS: It's Kolo Jerdecs world. We are only living in it. Before you take your next breath, you must get permission from her (or him, whatever a Kolo is). I hope she teaches and uses more respect in the classroom while teaching our children.

Hi, Just a reminder that we want to be a place where people can differ in their opinions and notRead More attack others. Thank you!
Diane in Odenton April 16, 2014 at 02:45 pm
Unfortunately, you just can't legislate common sense. Like the people who pull over to use theirRead More cell phone, thinking they're being safe, but they stop someplace ridiculous that is an accident waiting to happen. Really??

Typical behavior from government pigs. They steal our tax dollars, then turn around and spend themRead More on the police state they use to oppress us.
Sandy Murphey April 16, 2014 at 02:10 pm
The best part about all of this is that because there's always "OPPORTUNITY IN CRISIS",Read More this "problem" created more business for this little hydro shop. I love that the women gardeners showed so much support, and online orders increased so much, that he had to hire more people!! YEAH! The DEA helped, but I do feel sorry for those who are punished for using God's gift of nature, and a weed at that!

WHATS REALLY SCAREY IS THAT HE WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT. WE CANNOT COMPARE OUR STATE WITH TEXAS ASRead More THEY ARE REPUBICAN AND WE ARE LIBERAL DEMOCRATES. REALLY. BUT I LOVE THIS STATE AND WHERE I LIVE IN DUNDALK. I PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS AS THEY SURE NEED WISDOM.

All well said comments. A murder victim is dead. The perpetrator gets to live, albeit in prison.Read More An eye for an eye is still the way it should be.

If his administration get a lot of support ( votes ) from Baltimore city and there are a lot ofRead More criminals charged with murder in Jail, makes sense that the families who are connected to the killers would want to keep their relatives alive. Votes count right ? Baltimore is one of the most violent cities in America. Keeping the deterrent on the books helps to protect the good citizens of Baltimore city. Taking it off the books protects who ? I think the Mayor of Baltimore, along with their support staff wants to change which had been going on for some time. It will take time and dedication. The governor points out that there are problems in Baltimore but neglects to say nothing changed when he was the cities mayor.

So if any copycats didn't know where any other Jewish centers were, they do now. The media ALWAYSRead More gives out way too much information. They do most of the research for any suspected terrorist who just happens to watch the news or read/listen to it. They are always giving addresses and telling the terrorist where the security cameras are located or if a particular building is low on security.

Reading the various posts here I am struck at the hatred we now have for one another. I believe weRead More are more divided now that at any time in our history with the exception of the Civil War. Obama is a huge success. He has managed to divide our people as no one else has in modern history. A shame that so many have stopped thinking for themselves and instead follow the masses and the political propaganda.
Stu Pidasso April 16, 2014 at 01:49 pm
Mike- there is no hate here. actually a pathetic situation when one feels he is "owed"Read More something rather than earning it by working for it. Why not move down to the inner city and live there for 6 months, then get back to us!! it should be a real eye opener for you!! I work 6-7 days a week to enjoy what I have, even though i have little time to do so, I'm not complaining, but it bothers me that i am penalized by the way of extra taxes, fee's , etc., to help those who have no intention of trying to help themselves.. I have TWO children, NOT 5, 6, or 7 simply because I cannot afford it, and would NOT EXPECT the government to take care of them for me!!!

This was out in my neck of the woods. All really great kids, college bound and starting their adultRead More lives. Having lost a child, I can say these families will mourn for as long as they live, and will have to find a "new normal" as EVERYTHING is changed for them now...I wish them strength, there is nothing quite like burying a child. Appreciated are the messages of respect and sympathy. It can be annoying to get news from areas other than your own, however the new Patch is doing things differently, and show no evidence of changing it back.....my best advice would be to ignore stories not in your area, and to write your editor directly, and share your comments with those who can make changes.
