This week's Pets of the Week at Baltimore Humane Society are Kana, Gumby and Pokey. Here's what they each have to say--
Hi there! My name is Kana. I was surrendered to a local animal control because my owners were not permitted to keep me due to breed restrictions at their apartment complex. I am a super sweet Pit Bull Mix who has excelled in all my basic obedience and agility training. The staff says I learn very quickly and take direction well. I am also a great running companion. Even though it was initially the most difficult behavior to learn, I am now an expert fetcher and love to retrieve balls, sticks, or whatever you toss for me to play with! I would probably be best as the only pet in my new home since I am not very accustomed to other dogs or cats. I kind of like being the Queen Bee! If your interested in a fun, sweet girl like me, come in today so we can become new friends. I can’t wait!
Gumby and Pokey:
Hello. We’re Gumby and Pokey, two brothers found outside of a vet hospital. The nice staff there took care of us for a while, but then they had to bring us to the shelter. We are both super sweet and like people a lot. We also love being together and playing together so we are actually a bonded pair, meaning we need to go home together. If you are looking to add two nice young cats to your family, then please visit BHS soon so you can see for yourself how sweet we are.
The adoption fee for Kana is $165, and $125 for Gumby and Pokey together. Plus get a free bag of starter food!
