Faded Image and HyJinx headlined the event, which had hundreds turn out at Conrad's Ruth Villa in Middle River to help the Marine Trades Association of Baltimore County.

Hundreds of people turned out Sunday to Conrad's Ruth Villa in Middle River to hear popular regional bands and HyJinx rock out while supporting a good cause.

That cause was the Marine Trades Association of Baltimore County, which was the beneficiary of the inaugural festival. The , along with the East County Times, co-sponsored the event, whose proceeds after expenses will benefit the association's Scholarship and Education Fund.

Debbie Henninger, who helped organize the event with community activist Don Crockett, said she was pleased with the turnout, although she is still calculating just how much was raised and how many people attended.

"We had people coming up to us and asking whether we were going to have another event like this next month," Henninger said. "That might be a little much, but it's definitely something we'll look into organizing in the future."
