Softball: Eastern Tech Tops Dulaney

The Mavericks score five runs in the first inning en route to an 18-1 victory over Dulaney.

Freshman infielder Breanna Casper went 3-for-4 with a grandslam and drove in six runs overall as defeated in a game halted after five innings.

Eastern Tech scored 11 runs over the first two innings, which included a leadoff homerun by senior outfielder Alexis Peay. She went 3-for-5 on the day.

Senior second baseman Allison Williams hit a two-run homer and sophomore pitcher Jordan Cargile allowed a run on four hits and struck out one to pick up the win for the Mavericks (10-2). Cargile also helped her own cause as she went 4-for-4 with an RBI at the plate.

Eastern Tech, which has won four straight, next plays at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at Owings Mills.
