Men's Basketball: CCBC Essex tops CCBC Catonsville

The Knights are over .500 after win against cross-town rival on Tuesday.

Sophomore forward Mahamane Toure’s three-pointer in the final minute of regulation helped CCBC Essex storm back from a 9-point deficit en route to a 69-64 win Tuesday over CCBC Catonsville.

The Knights (4-3) have now won two straight after losing three of their previous four games. The win over Catonsville also comes a week after sophomore guard John Holloway (Chesapeake) scored and then converted a foul shot in the final seconds to lift CCBC Essex to a 62-60 win at Anne Arundel Community College.

CCBC Essex is now 2-1 in MD JUCO play. The Knights return to action at 11 a.m. Saturday when they travel to CCBC Dundalk.
