Lacrosse: Chesapeake Teams Earn Byes in Playoffs

The first and second round matches will be held this week.

Chesapeake's boys and girls varsity earned a bye going into the state lacrosse playoffs, which start this week.

A No. 3 seed in the 2A/1A north bracket, Chesapeake will face the winner of Western (Baltimore County) and Randallstown's first-round match at home on Friday.

The No. 6 seeded girls also have a bye and will travel to Carver on Friday.

Eastern Tech's boys (No. 7 seed) open the 3A/2A north playoffs by hosting Digital Harbor on Wednesday, with the winner to face City or Lansdowne. The girls team (No. 7 seed) will host Milford Mill, with the winner advancing to face City.

In 4A/3A south, Kenwood's boys (No. 8 seed) will host Catonsville Wednesday, with the winner advancing to face Polytechnic. The girls varsity team (No. 9) will open the playoffs at Polytechnic, with the winner to take on Catonsville in the second round on Friday
