The Bayhawks' season ends with a 45-0 loss to Edmondson in the Class 2A North finals on Saturday at Poly.

Chesapeake’s season came to a screeching halt on Saturday as the Bayhawks lost 45-0 to Edmondson in the Class 2A North region finals at Poly.

Edmondson led 13-0 after the first quarter and 39-0 at halftime to put the game out of reach. The Red Storm (8-4) advances to play at Middletown in the 2A semifinals.

This season also marked the first for Chesapeake coach Rocco Bruno at the helm. The former Middle River Renegades and Archbishop Curley JV coach took over the program from Mark Junker in early August, just a few weeks before the fall practice began.
