Dotterweich to Play Lacrosse for Missouri Valley College

The 2010 Eastern Technical High School graduate will play for the team in its inaugural season.

Jason Dotterweich II has signed a letter of intent to play lacrosse for Missouri Valley College.

The 2010 Eastern Technical High School graduate will transfer from Towson University to Missouri Valley to be a part of the southern college's brand-new lacrosse program, according to a statement from Missouri Valley.

The team will begin playing in the Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference effective with the spring 2014 season, pending a vote of current conference members.

"I am very excited about Jason joining the program and what he has to offer," Missouri Valley head men’s lacrosse coach Kevin Totaro said in the statement. "With this being the program’s first season, I’m hoping our first recruiting class will make a big impact."

Dotterweich played lacrosse and was a member of the wrestling team at Eastern Tech.

He played club lacrosse at Towson, which means he will have four years of eligibility remaining to play for Missouri Valley, according to sports information director Andy Pulverenti.

Dotterweich will attend Missouri Valley on an athletic scholarship, according to Pulverenti.
