CCBC Essex Wins Men's Regional Lax Title
The Knights will host a first-round national tournament game Saturday.
The Community College of Baltimore County's Essex Knights defeated a tough Harford Community College, 9-8, in the final of the NJCAA Region XX lacrosse tournament Sunday.
Essex had to hold on at the end of the game when visiting Harford scored two unanswered goals with little time left on the clock, according to interim athletic administrator Robert Aupperley.
The Knights now move on to host a first-round game of the NJCAA national tournament at CCBC Essex on Saturday.

Essex defeated Howard Community College, 16-6, in Friday's semi-final action to earn its berth in the final.
Harford beat Anne Arundel Community College, 19-12, to earn its spot in the Region XX championship game.
