Camden Yards Hosts Middle River Kids

Kids from Middle River Baptist Church attended Saturday afternoon's game as guests of Kevin Gregg.

Kids from a Middle River church got treated to quite a show Saturday at Camden Yards.

About 150 children from attended Saturday's Orioles game against the Detroit Tigers. Before the game, the team unveiled a statue of Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Palmer.

The group came as guests of Orioles reliever Kevin Gregg. The Middle River kids also recieved concession vouchers, shirts and hats from the team. Gregg (3-2) was credited with the win after pitching the final out in the top of the 13th inning.

The Orioles would go on to win the nearly five-hour marathon, 8-6, in the bottom of the 13th inning on a walk-off two-run home run by backup catcher Taylor Teagarden, in his Orioles debut.
