Mount Carmel Grad Receives College Accolades

A graduate of Mount Carmel High School was recognized for leadership at Washington College.

A Middle River resident attending college in Chestertown was recently recognized for his leadership.

Brandon Citrano is now a member of Omicron Delta Kappa at Washington College, a liberal arts college on the Eastern Shore.

Omicron Delta Kappa is a national honor society recognizing students who have demonstrated leadership.

Citrano, who is a member of the class of 2014 at Washington College, has shown leadership in various activities and organizations on campus. According to a press release, he is vice president of development for Kappa Sigma, an international service fraternity; previously, he had been the group's vice president for public relations; and he received the fraternity's award for scholarship and leadership last semester. 

A psychology major, Citrano is a member of national psychology honor society Psi Chi, according to the release. He is a member of the psychology club and volunteers as a peer mentor.

In his free time, Citrano is a Habitat for Humanity volunteer, club volleyball player and Christian fellowship member on campus.

Citrano graduated from Mount Carmel High School in Middle River.
