McDonough To Discuss Dream Act at CCBC
The college recently hosted CASA de Maryland to discuss the other side of the ballot issue.
Del. Pat McDonough will discuss a bill on in-state tuition for illegal immigrants at a forum Tuesday night at the Community College of Baltimore County in Essex.
The free forum will start at 7 p.m. in the upper lobby of the B Building on the CCBC Essex campus.
The bill, commonly referred to as the Maryland Dream Act, would guarantee in-state tuition to illegal immigrants who spend at least three years in a Maryland high school and satisfy other conditions.

Maryland's General Assembly passed the bill in 2011 and it was petitioned to referendum for November's ballot. McDonough, a Middle River Republican, is an outspoken opponent of the bill.
Representatives of CASA de Maryland, a Latino and immigration advocacy organization, hosted similar forums at CCBC in Essex and Catonsville earlier this month.
