Kenwood Cruises Past Parkville in Lacrosse

The Bluebirds jumped out to a 9-0 halftime lead en route to a 15-6 victory over the Knights.

The Bluebirds dominated the game from the opening faceoff as they jumped out to a 9-0 halftime lead and never looked back. Junior attack Nick Eliadis scored three goals and had two assists while Eric Ulrich contributed three goals and three assists for Kenwood (9-1).

Goalie Ben Runk finished with 13 saves for the Bluebirds, who host Edgewood at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

KENWOOD GIRLS LACROSSE: Kelly Dotterweich had a team-high six goals, but the Bluebirds came up just short in a 14-12 loss to Parkville.

The Bluebirds played tough throughout the game, which was tied a 8 at halftime. Kenwood then opened the second half by scoring twice in less than a minute to take a 10-8 lead. Parkville then responded by scoring six of the game's final eight goals.

Casey Whitley scored two goals and had two assists and Cierra Wilson and Elisa Rowe each scored once while goalie  Amy Genovese had six saves for the Bluebirds (4-5).

Kenwood next plays at 3:45 Tuesday at .

EASTERN TECH BOYS LACROSSE: Junior attack Bobby Wlash scored three goals and added an assist in the Mavericks 14-5 loss to Tuesday at Eastern Regional Park.

Hunter Oleszczuk and Charles Rice each scored once, Ryan Wagner had an assist and goalie Wyatt Almond had 17 saves for (5-4).

Eastern Tech next plays at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at Hereford.
