Kamenetz Discuss Economy With Catonsville Chamber of Commerce

"We're doing what we can afford to do," Kamenetz said.

County Executive Kevin Kamenetz brought his message of continued fiscal austerity to the Catonsville Chamber of Commerce Wednesday.

"We're doing what we can afford to do," said Kamenetz, according to a story in the Baltimore Sun.

The message is a continuation of one the county executive has been preaching since taking office in Dec. 2010.

In recent weeks, the county has stressed cost savings measures including labor agreements to control retirement benefit costs, early retirement offerings and consolidation efforts with the school system.

Those cost containment measures and fiscal restraint messages have also been part of the county executive's budgets in each of the last two years.

I wonder if the Executive talked about his position on Spring Grove. KK is on board to hand over, 22 acres of the property to Whalen Properties so that the money can keep flowing into his political war chest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EFLCZNlaKg&feature=plcp Shame on him and Councilperson Quirk for doing the bidding of the rich and powerful at the expense of the everyday citizen and the common good.

I wonder if everyone in Catonsville knows that "Open Eyes" is Paul Dongarra. Paul has been creepy and obsessed since his wife lost in the primary election to Quirk by 14% (and in a crowded field of 4 despite their Team Obama slate that they forgot report as an in-kind donation on their finance reports -- where Obama 'endorsed' Dongarra and Paul stood by a life sized poster of Obama. Maybe someone should report that to the State Prosecutor?). Talk about losers! Go home and eat your sour grapes, Paul. Soon everyone will realize your obsessive, creepy negative style and it will backfire. Your negative poison you spew in our community is getting old.
