IRS: Essex Home to Potential Tax Cheats

The National Taxpayer Advocate released a list of 350 communities nationwide.

According to IRS data, Essex is home to "clusters" of potential tax cheats.

The Associated Press on Monday posted the list of more than 350 communities nationwide where, according to a study National Taxpayer Advocate conducted on 2009 tax return data from sole proprietorships, potential tax cheats were clustered.

Other Maryland towns, including Bowie, Garrison, Rosedale and Edgewood are also on the list.
