The United Steelworkers of Maryland and the Marylanders for Offshore Wind coalition will host a town hall forum at 7 p.m. tonight at the Rosedale library which will focus on a proposal by Gov. Martin O'Malley to construct a 400 - 600 megawatt wind energy farm off of the coast of Ocean City.
Proponents point out that the project would generate enough energy to power half of the homes in Baltimore City.
Also, according to the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development the projec would create around 2,400 jobs statewide, including jobs for the steelworkers in Sparrows Point.

Futher the project could help stabilize our energy costs, and by jumpstarting a vital clean energy industry, help to cut air pollution and associated health and climate change impacts.
State Sen. Kathy Klausmeier will likely attend or join a representive and the speaker panel will include experts to discuss the project.
