Woman Arrested After Police Find Bolt Cutters in Stroller

The Essex woman attempted to take a radio from boat.

An Essex woman was arrested Monday on theft charges after police found her pushing a stroller with bolt cutters in the bottom basket.

According to police, around 11:25 p.m. on Monday, a man and woman entered a yard in the 300 block of Riverside Drive and tried to take a radio from a boat in the yard.

The pair was unsuccessful, but did cause an unspecified amount of damage to the boat and radio. The duo then broke into a car and took a cell phone. The resident came outside and the man fled with the phone, according to the police report.

When police arrived at the scene, the woman was identified nearby, pushing a stroller with a pair of bolt cutters in the bottom basket. The police report did not specify if a baby was present.

Police arrested Sabrina Carolyn Retrossi, 23, of the 100 block of South Taylor Avenue in Essex. She is charged with burglary, fourth-degree theft, fraud and making a false statement to an officer. She is currently being held on $25,000 bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson, according to court records. The other suspect has not yet been arrested, according to police.
