WBAL: Boy Shot at Inner Harbor from Middle River

Kavin Benson is listed in good condition at Johns Hopkins Children's Medical Center, according to WBAL-TV.

The 4-year-old boy shot on the Fourth of July in the Inner Harbor is from Middle River, WBAL-TV reported.

According to Baltimore City police, the boy, identified by WBAL-TV as Kavin Benson, was shot in the right thigh with the bullet traveling down his leg before settling near his knee.

Kevin Benson, Kavin’s father, told WBAL-TV that he heard a “pop” that sounded like a gunshot or firecracker before realizing his son was bleeding. The pair, along with Kevin Benson’s pregnant fiancée, were walking along Pratt Street when the shooting occurred.
