Police arrested an Essex man after the incident early last week.

An Essex man was arrested early last week after a visitor found him inside her host's home.

Raymond Ashford Hassett, 24, of the 200 block of Orville Road was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and destruction of property, according to online court records.

Baltimore County police responded to the 1000 block of Arncliffe Road at 1:36 p.m. on Nov. 5. According to police, Hassett pried open a basement door to a home and, once inside, he was confronted by an out-of-town visitor in the home.

Hassett ran home, where he was arrested. It was unknown at the time if anything was taken, according to the police incident summary.

Hassett was being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson on $35,000 bail.

This is so wierd-this looks like the guy that the night after my neighbor was out on bail for breaking and entering my home and stealing my jewelry, she was with and checking out the neighbors motorcycle (while her boyfriend was still in jail for the robbery). I wish the Essex police could connect her to this guy and arrest her again.
