Three People Burned Following Boat Fire

Three people were transported to the hospital Wednesday after suffering burns while battling a boat fire in Middle River.

The fire was first reported at about 7:53 p.m. at the 800 block of Chester Road, Baltimore County Firefighter Dana Camak told Patch.

Camak said the fire broke out in engine compartment and the three people tried to put the fire out on their own. The trio suffered burns to their hands and faces.

All three victims were transported by ambulance to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center, where their condition is unknown, Camak said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
