Three Arrested in Middle River Street Robbery

Police say a man chased down one of the robbers.

Two men and a juvenile were arrested last week in connection with a street robbery in Middle River.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Oct. 11, three males approached a man and woman near the corner of Pawnee and Middle River roads, according to police. One of the males asked for money and cigarettes. The woman said they had none, according to a police report. One of the males then pushed the woman to the ground and grabbed her purse, then fled.

The man with her chased down one of the alleged robbers. The purse was recovered, with $20 missing.

Theodore Henry Wdzieczny, 18, of the 1500 block of Dornton Avenue in Middle River, was identified by police as the suspect who the man chased down. Police also arrested Derrick Lamont Allen, 20, at his residence in the 1500 block of Becklow Avenue, and a juvenile.

Wdzieczny is charged with theft, robbery and two counts of second-degree assault. He remains in the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson on $50,000 bail. Allen is charged with theft, robbery and one count of second-degree assault and is being held on $25,000 bail.
