Suspect Injured in Police Involved Shooting

The unidentified suspect was shot during a traffic stop.

UPDATED [10:01 a.m.]—Baltimore County Police are on the scene of a police involved shooting Friday morning in Middle River.

Full details of the incident in the 9600 block of Pulaski Highway are not immediately available.

The suspect was shot after a traffic stop shortly before 7 a.m. Friday, according to a statement released by the Baltimore County Police Department.

It is not clear what precipitated the shooting. The suspect was able to flee the area but was captured a short distance away. He was taken to an undisclosed area hospital and treated for minor injuries, according to the statement.

Police closed all but the left lane of southbound Pulaski Highway as part of the investigation
