Baltimore County police are investigating a stabbing death that occurred Thursday in Essex.
At 4:22 a.m. police found a man lying outside on the ground in the 900 block of Walnut Grove Road, according to a news release from the Baltimore County Police Department.
He had multiple stab wounds, and was taken to Franklin Square Hospital "where he was pronounced deceased," it states. The victim has not yet been positively identified.
Police had gone to check on a report about someone having trouble breathing, according to the news release.
His body will autopsied by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
