Police were called to a Rosedale McDonald's early Saturday morning following an assault involving two employees.
According to a Baltimore County police news release, officers responded at 12:19 a.m. to the McDonald's, located on the 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue, for an assault call.
Police were told that a 21-year-old male employee assaulted a 16-year-old co-worker after an argument between the two escalated. According to the release, the male employee allegedly grabbed the girls hair and punched her numerous times.
Baltimore County police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton said the female employee did not receive any medical treatment while officers were at the restaurant.
Batton said since the incident was classified a second-degree assault and police did not witness the attack, they could not arrest anyone without the victim pressing charges.
Batton added that the victim of the assault was referred to to the District Court Commissioner's office should she decide to press charges.
This McDonald's is no stranger to violence as it was the scene last year where , a transgendered woman, was attacked by two females; an assault that was recorded by store employees and went viral.
One of those females, , was sentenced to five years in jail for her role in the attack. The franchise owner, Mitchell McPherson, fired the employee who took the video.
Stay classy Baltimore.
want to have the business do well. Visited a fastfood restaurant recently that had horrible service and attitudes and was shocked and delightfully surprised that they cleaned house and hired an entire new staff. This was a pleasant experience. Unless this is done at this McDonalds the problems will continue and eventually escalate. Business owners choice. If residents of the area did not frequent this business they would have no other opportunity but to improve it or close it.
