Resident Thwarts Middle River Burglaries

A homeowner spots two men trying to burglarize a pair of houses on Old Eastern Avenue on Saturday night, police said.

Baltimore County police are investigating a pair of attempted home burglaries that occurred right next to each other Saturday night in Middle River.

According to police reports, officers were called to the 2200 block of Old Eastern Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. for a report of someone trying to break into adjacent homes.

One of the residents told police she heard a noise at around 11:15 p.m. and went to investigate.

She told police found a broken bedroom window and a brick on the floor, and a male standing underneath the window, outside.

She saw another young male standing next to her neighbor’s air conditioning unit, which was pulled from its frame, according to a police report.

After she told the males that she was calling police, they ran and she lost sight of them, the report continued.
