Police Seeking Suspected Essex Cigarette Robber

Police say a man seen in surveillance footage stole five cartons of cigarettes.

Baltimore County police are looking for a man wanted in an unarmed robbery last month in Essex.

At about 11:05 p.m. on Aug. 12, inside the Royal Farms in the 9600 block of Pulaski Highway, an employee found a man behind the counter, attempting to steal cigarettes. The employee struggled with the man, who eventually fled with five cartons of Marlboro cigarettes, police said in the release.

Police described the man as 40 to 50 years old and 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a heavy build.

Police ask anyone with information on the potential suspect to call police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587. Metro Crime Stoppers offers a possible cash reward of up to $2,000.
