Man Shot in Essex Armed Robbery

A 27-year-old man was shot during around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.

A 27-year-old man was shot after being robbed by two men late Wednesday night in Essex, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman said.

Detective Cathy Batton said the victim was walking along the unit block of Nerbay Road just before 10 p.m. when two men approached him and demanded money and property.

At some point during the confrontation, Batton said, the victim was shot before both suspects escaped in a dark-colored vehicle. Batton added that it doesn’t appear the suspects stole anything before leaving.
