The 14-year-old was arrested last week and charged as a juvenile.

The attack was video recorded by an employee of the restaurant and quickly went viral on the Internet. McDonald's issued a statement saying the employee who recorded the attack has been fired.

The video was removed from Youtube but can be viewed here. The video is violent and contains vulgar language and may not be suitable for younger viewers.

The attack has caused national outrage among the LGBT community, which has called for the attack to be investigated as a hate crime. To express their outrage, a coalition of transgender organizations is planning to host a rally at 7 p.m. on Monday in front of the McDonald's in Rosedale.
