Police Identify Man Killed in Middle River Stabbing

Anthony Theodore Whiting Jr. died of injuries sustained Thursday in a fight near Ballard Avenue.

Baltimore County police officials have identified the man killed in a stabbing incident in Middle River June 20.

Anthony Theodore Whiting Jr., 19, of the 9600 block of Bird River Road, died of the injuries sustained in a fight that took place in the area of Ballard Avenue in Middle River, according to a statement from Cpl. John Wachter.

Police responded to the area after receiving multiple 911 calls that reported a group of juveniles was fighting in the area.

When they arrived, officers discovered Whiting suffering from at least one stab wound. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he died, according to the statement.

Detectives have one person in custody for questioning, but no one has been charged, according to Wachter.
