Man Charged in Middle River Stabbing, Robbery Identified

The incident occurred early Tuesday morning.

Baltimore County Police have identified a man accused of robbing and stabbing another man outside the Middle River Inn early Tuesday morning.

Christopher Eney, 36, of the unit block of Contact Court in Middle River, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and armed robbery, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton.

Eney is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $75,000 bond.

Police said that around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Eney and another man robbed a third man of prescription pain medication outside the Middle River Inn in the 2300 block of Old Eastern Avenue.

During the robbery, Eney allegedly stabbed the victim. The victim then apparently stabbed the other robber, police said.

Both the victim and the second robber were treated for their injuries at Franklin Square Hospital.

Batton said the second suspect in the robbery has not yet been arrested.
