Pedestrian Dies In Middle River Accident

A Joppa man died after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday, police said.

A 27-year-old Joppa man died after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning in Middle River.

The pedestrian, identified by police as Jason David Leonard of the 1800 block of Philadelphia Road in Joppa, was struck by a vehicle around 3:34 a.m. Saturday in the unit block of Right Wing Drive in Aero Acres, police said.

Leonard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team is investigating the incident.

Police said the initial investigation suggested Leonard was sitting in the middle of Right Wing Drive near Fuselage Avenue after falling off of a bicycle.

Police said he was struck by an Oldsmobile Cutlass driven by Brandon Maurice Cook, 25, of Essex. Cook remained at the scene, and was transported to a Baltimore area hospital, police said.

A man died. Why are you nitpicking over where it happened?
