On the one-year anniversary of her death, friends and former classmates of Turner have planned a memorial service at the Morgan State University Chapel at 8 p.m., Friday.

Turner died after her blue Volkswagen Beetle with a light pole in the Sears parking lot, police said.

Following her friend's death,  Andrews said she sought counseling on how to cope. Focusing on positive memories of Turner gave her strength, she said.

"She was always happy. She had a bubbly personality ... I can't think of anything bad she had ever done," Andrews said.

@Tim You are both right and wrong! White Marsh Mall does not "have" a Boscov's, but "did" at one time. This store has remained vacant since Boscov's left the mall. The logo "Boscov's" remains on the outside structure of the building. The incident took place directly across from the Ikea store and adjacent to the "former" Boscov's store. *How do I know?* I was shopping at White Marsh that day! While I totally agree with you on the "hatemongering", you manage to undermine your rational thoughts with inaccuracies. @everyone else None of us ever knows what is in another human being's mind, nor what they are capable of, no matter how well we think we "know" them. After all, how many heinous crimes have been committed where the relatives, neighbors, or acquaintances of the perpetrator has stated that they couldn't believe that the person they know could possibly be guilty! Frankly, what happened that day was a sahme, pure and simple. For those of you taking "stabs" at the girl, shame on you! For those of you suggesting that Ikea did anything innappropriate shame on you, too! The fact is that none of you (or myself for that matter) know what really happened. To comment or use conjecture is extremely irresponsible! But, then how are we mortals expected to act when the "so called mainstream" media never bother to check their facts anymore? No need to comment or attempt to "break down" my post. Most likely I will be able to run circles around you.

m malm: No worries. It's a chronological timeline which is limited in value as it applies to the real story here. Like you said, I was both right and wrong, depending on what time stamp you wished to use. This was actually pointed out to me in a previous post. I think it was the one Emily removed. I'd have been better served not even nitpicking about the whole Boscov's thing. It really was of negligible importance compared to the real underlying issue in this thread that I noted.
