Baltimore County Fire Department Division Chief Michael Robinson said in an email that units from the fire department's Advanced Tactical Rescue Team (ATR) based from the Texas fire station along with units from the Parkton and Hereford stations responded to the scene.

Those units were assisted by Baltimore County police, which flew a helicopter with a specially-configured rescue hoist used by firefighters to rescue Asterista. They were assisted by the police department "Air 1" helicopter, which is a specially-configured aircraft equipped with a rescue hoist, Robinson said.
