Man Charged in White Marsh, Pulaski Highway Murder

Police have accused a Baltimore man of fatally stabbing an acquaintance on July 23.

A Baltimore man has been charged with fatally stabbing an acquaintance on Monday in White Marsh.

Mark Brown Jr., 20, of the 200 block of North Washington Street has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 52-year-old Phillip Weatherford of the 4100 block of Woodhaven Avenue, according to Baltimore County police.

officers responded to Pulaski Highway near Ebenezer Road at about 2:40 a.m. on July 23, where Weatherford had been stabbed multiple times inside of his 2002 GMC Envoy. He later died while being treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, police said.

Detectives found that Weatherford and Brown were acquaintances and had been traveling southbound on Pulaski Highway when they began arguing. Brown then allegedly stabbed Weatherford several times, according to police.

Brown is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail, police said.
