Man Assaulted in Essex Home Invasion

Baltimore County police don't believe this invasion on the unit block of Moline Circle is related to a similar incident last week on Bayview Court.

A 29-year-old man was beaten and stabbed during a home invasion Saturday in Essex.

According to police reports, three men wearing hooded sweatshirts and ski masks forced their way into a home on the unit block of Moline Circle around 2:30 a.m. and demanded money.

After entering the home, one of the suspects struck the victim in the head with the butt of a shotgun while another of the intruders pushed a 23-year-old female to the floor. Police said the robbers asked several times where “the stuff” and money was while continuing to assault the male victim.

Eventually, the robbers fled the house after another resident informed them that they had contacted police and officers were en route to the residence, police said.

According to police reports, the male victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center to be treated for a laceration to his forehead, a collapsed lung and a broken finger.

Police said nothing was taken from the residence and it is unknown whether the robbers targeted the wrong home or couldn’t find what they were looking for before police arrived.
