Baltimore County Fire Department spokesman Elise Armacost confirmed in a release Tuesday that the victims of the blaze were Carolyn Lee Himmelheber, 63, and Stacy Lynn Himmelheber, 40.

Armacost added that two dogs and two cats also died in the fire, which caused $25,000 in damages. Fire officials also report that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Due to incorrect information provided by the Baltimore County Fire Department, a previous story reported that there were battery-operated smoke detectors in the house that did not activate at the time of the fire.
