Gas Leak Causes Traffic Delays in Rosedale

A contractor struck a gas line on the 7800 block of Pulaski Highway, which led to road closures.

(UPDATED 10:25 p.m.) A contractor struck a 1 1/4-inch gas line, causing a gas leak around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday in Rosedale, BGE spokesman Linda Foy said.

Foy said no injuries were reported and BGE crews are working to repair the gas line, which serves one business on the 7800 block of Pulaski Highway.

As a precaution, traffic was detoured around Pulaski Highway where the leak took place between 66th and 68th streets. In addition, Baltimore County Fire Department crews were on the scene if necessary.

Foy said the road was reopened around 11:30 a.m. and the repairs to the leak were completed by 4:30 p.m..Stay with Patch for more details.
