One Hospitalized after Essex House Fire

The blaze near Northeast Creek was reported Friday morning.

UPDATE (9:10 a.m.)—One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation suffered in a fire in Essex Friday morning, Baltimore County Public Safety reported.

Emergency personnel responded to a house fire on the unit block of Wagners Lane at approximately 8:30 a.m. and found the home "fully involved in flames," according to 92Q.

By 8:40 a.m., the radio station was reporting that one person was out of the home.

Firefighters were still battling the house fire as of 8:47 a.m., according to the Baltimore County Volunteer Firemen's Association.

Due to heavy smoke in the area, 92Q said that some houses on nearby Riverside Avenue were being evacuated.
