Essex-Middle River Crime: 4 Bowleys Quarters Home Break-Ins

Crisfield Road, 400 block. Between 6 p.m., Oct. 16 and 9 a.m., Oct. 17. A gate was open, a rear window screen was removed and a window was slightly open in a home, but nothing was taken. The resident suggested to police that her dog may have scared the intruder away.

Crisfield Road, 500 block. Between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m., Oct. 16. An intruder cut a screen to gain access to a rear porch and opened a rear bathroom window. About $1,555 in jewelry and $870 in currency were stolen.
Dorsey Avenue, 700 block. Between 10 p.m., Oct. 16 and 6:30 a.m., Oct. 17. A burglar forced open a shed door and stole 10 nail guns and a generator.

Turn Court, unit block. Between midnight, Oct. 15 and 3:30 p.m., Oct. 17. A central air conditioning unit was stolen and a fuse box was destroyed.
Carrollwood Road, 500 block. Between 3:30 p.m., Oct. 12 and 10 a.m., Oct. 16. At Seneca Elementary School, three feet of 1.5-inch copper pipe was stolen. Police say the thief climbed up the vents and ripped the pipe out.
Kittendale Circle, 600 block. Between 3 and 8:30 a.m., Oct. 16. Two black go-karts and one ATV axle were taken from a shed. The shed's lock had been cut.
Back River Neck Road, 300 block. Between 12:30 and 7:45 a.m., Oct. 16. Two tons of wood stove pellets, valued at $500, were stolen from an area near the home's driveway.
Grovethorn Road, 300 block. Between midnight, Oct. 4 and 11:59 p.m., Oct. 10. An intruder entered a front yard and took a book, tambourine and seven-piece harmonica set. The tambourine and harmonica were later recovered.
Compass Road and Morane Way. 12:35 a.m., Oct. 15. A robber approached a man, displayed a silver fixed-blade knife and demanded money. He stole $300 and fled in a silver four-door vehicle.
