Essex-Middle River Crime: HVAC Units Taken From Shopping Center Roof

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Country Ridge Lane, 1500 block. Between 3 p.m., Oct. 8 and 7 p.m., Oct. 10. A burglar somehow got onto the roof of the Country Ridge Shopping Center and cut copper coils and motors from seven commercial air conditioning units. The total value of the stolen coils and moters was given as $20,000.

Clipper Road, unit block. Between 4:07 p.m., Sept. 25 and 5:30 p.m., Oct. 8. Twelve feet of copper pipe were stolen from a vacant home.

Banyan Wood Court, unit block. Between 10 p.m., Oct. 9 and 6 p.m., Oct. 10. Two laptops, two Amazon Kindles, a cell phone, $50 cash and keys to two vehicles were stolen from a home, and the resident's Chevy Equinox (Maryland tag 22382CE) was taken from its parking spot. Police believe the burglar entered through a rear sliding door.

Red Rose Farm Road, 3500 block. Between 8 p.m., Oct. 9 and 6 p.m., Oct. 10. A 22-inch Vizio television, Dell Inspiron laptop, Uniden marine radio and Garmin marine GPS were stolen from a boat in its slip at a marina. Police say an intruder pried a latch on the boat to access the property.

Bladen Road, unit block. Between 10:20 a.m. and 4 p.m., Oct. 9. A 42-inch Toshiba television, Xbox 360 and two laptops were stolen. Police are unsure how the intruder made entry, but a door may have been left unlocked.

North Woodland Drive, 900 block. Between 5 p.m., Sept. 26 and 9 a.m., Sept. 29. A Trek bicycle, Taylormade golf clubs, Ryobi leaf blower and Ryobi weeder were stolen from a shed. The pad lock on the shed had been cut.

Transverse Avenue, 100 block. between 3:20 p.m., Oct. 7 and 7 a.m., Oct. 8. At a construction site, someone forced open two containers and took a 12-inch Dewalt mitre saw, a Honda 3500 generator and a 5700-watt Ridge generator.

Eastern Boulevard, 1000 block. Between 5 p.m., Oct. 5 and 12:30 p.m., Oct. 9. A silver Matco ratchet was stolen from an open garage.

Ebenezer Road, 5900 block. Between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., Oct. 9. Jewelry, a wooden jewelry box and a blue trash can were stolen from a home. Police say the intruder entered through a rear kitchen window. The total value of the theft was given as $2,115.

Citation Road, 8900 block. Between 5 p.m., Oct. 5 and 7 a.m., Oct. 8. Someone cut a hole in a fence and cut and stole a lock off a shed. Nothing inside the shed was taken.

Keeners Road, 4000 block. Between noon, Oct. 7 and 3:10 p.m., Oct. 8. A silver and black 2011 Kymco Agility scooter was stolen from a driveway.
